Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, with expertise in assessing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders across diverse populations. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver targeted therapy to improve communication skills. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives through evidence-based practices and compassionate care. Cardin Healthcare is a community-based organization located on the campus of Long Beach Memorial Hospital. We provide care to over 12,000 patients with 6 physicians, 4-midlevels and over 30 medical assistances. We are active with the Enhanced Care Management a service program to tackle the health and social inequalities that plague our community. We employ over 30 case workers and outreach personnel. Currently our Behavioral health program is limited to 2 licensed social workers taking care of patients between the ages of 6 to 99. We are interested in hiring an experience Speech Therapist to initiate our Behavioral health center for autism, delayed development and speech delay. One that shows leadership and can work with a team of mental health professionals, medical staff providers and case workers. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions utilizing standardized testing and clinical observations. Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, goals, and developmental stage. Deliver evidence-based speech therapy interventions for pediatric populations, including early intervention services for young children with speech or language delays. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment approaches. Educate patients and their families about communication strategies, therapy goals, and home practice activities to support progress outside of sessions. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development and training. Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist from the appropriate licensing board or authority. Prior experience working in school settings or pediatric environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of physiology related to speech production, swallowing mechanisms, and anatomy relevant to communication disorders. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with medical terminology used in healthcare settings. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and their families in early intervention programs. Excellent communication skills with the capacity to explain complex concepts clearly and empathetically. Pay:
$105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
