Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and success as a Speech Language Pathologist serving a diverse population ranging from preschool through post-secondary. This role runs from June 15 through July 16, offering a balanced schedule of 20 hours per week (5 hours a day, 4 days weekly), providing focused interventions and collaboration time while maintaining a flexible summer routine. As the dedicated SLP for this assignment, you'll manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, delivering services tailored to individual IEP goals and developmental levels. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to create a supportive environment that addresses communication needs, fosters engagement, and enhances overall student development.
Role Highlights & Responsibilities:
Provide targeted speech, language, and communication therapy for a caseload of 60 students across preschool to post-secondary settings. Evaluate, diagnose, and design individualized treatment plans based on student assessments and IEP objectives. Work collaboratively with teachers, instructional staff, and families to support carryover of strategies and generalization of skills. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress and required reports. Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring services and goals align with educational requirements. Utilize evidence-based practices, promoting a positive, communicative learning climate.Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Current SLP-CCC, CFY, or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship. Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy, pediatrics, and diverse caseloads. Strong organizational and communication skills. Familiarity with common school SLP tools, assessments, and technology.
