Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Full-Time Vasona Healthcare | Los Gatos, CA Role Overview Vasona Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and professional Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our clinical team full-time. In this role, you will evaluate and treat residents to enhance their quality of life through communication, cognitive, and swallowing therapy. You will act as a vital link between residents, families, and the interdisciplinary medical team.
Compensation & Benefits Starting Wage:
$60.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities Clinical Excellence:
Evaluate residents to determine therapy needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential.
Treatment Planning:
Develop and implement individualized plans focused on improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
Documentation:
Maintain timely and compliant medical records in accordance with facility and governmental standards.
Collaboration:
Communicate progress with physicians and nursing staff; participate in Resident Care and Utilization Review meetings.
Education & Training:
Provide ongoing in-services for facility staff and assist with training Restorative Aides.
Mentorship:
Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFY) or students in accordance with the state practice act.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
Licensure:
Valid Speech Therapist license in the state of California in good standing.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in healthcare software such as Net Health and Point Click Care.
Certifications:
CPR certification (if required by licensure) and meeting all state continuing education requirements.
