Overview Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care, travel assignment in Monterey, California, starting 08/10/2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 38 hours per week on days, in a skilled nursing facility. Weekly pay ranges from $2,086 to $2,187 per week.

Days Start date: 08/10/2026 Facility/work setting: Skilled Nursing Facility Responsibilities Perform comprehensive speech-language assessments for residents, focusing on communication and swallowing needs in a SNF setting. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; provide direct therapy and monitor progress toward goals. Document therapy assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and outcomes in Rehab Optima (Net Health) and other required systems; ensure accuracy for billing and compliance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (nursing, OT, PT, dietary, social work) to support rehabilitation goals and discharge planning. Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements and facility policies; ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical practice. Educate residents and families on communication strategies and swallowing safety; provide staff training as needed.
