Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make an impact as a Speech Language Pathologist working with a diverse population of students from preschool through post-secondary levels this summer. This rewarding contract position, located near Morgan Hill, CA, runs from June 15 to July 16, offering a structured 20-hour work week (five hours per day, four days a week). You'll support approximately 60 students, providing essential speech and language therapy and collaborating closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Qualifications:
Valid California license or eligibility as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply Experience with pediatric and school-based caseloads strongly preferred Comprehensive understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders in children and adolescents Ability to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Demonstrated commitment to serving students with diverse backgrounds and needs
Role Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for students with speech and language disorders across a range of ages and abilities Develop and carry out individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services and student progress Conduct group and individual therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and caregivers to promote communication goals Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations and reviews This position provides the opportunity to directly influence the communication skills and confidence of students at multiple educational levels.
