Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing speech-language services in a dynamic school environment near Oakland, CA. This contract position focuses on supporting students' communication skills, helping them thrive academically and socially. The opportunity will likely be at the middle school level, engaging with students who benefit from your expertise and compassion.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Previous experience working in school settings, particularly at the middle school level, is preferred Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in California Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities Confident with evaluations, therapy, IEP writing, and collaboration with educators and parents
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver speech-language therapy for students in accordance with educational guidelines Maintain accurate records of intervention and progress monitoring Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to create an inclusive, supportive environment for all students Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as a valued member of the special education team Provide resources and education to staff and families as needed to support communication goals
