Job Description
- Position Overview
- The
- Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
- supports the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering speech and language services to students or patients. This role includes clinical support, treatment implementation, documentation, and educational activities, all performed within the scope of practice and the plan of care established by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and/or physician.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist with the delivery of speech and language therapy services + Implement treatment plans and interventions as directed + Support clinical, educational, and therapeutic activities + Accurately document services and progress in accordance with established guidelines + Maintain compliance with all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards + Collaborate with supervising clinicians and interdisciplinary team members •Minimum Requirements•+ Graduate of an •SLPA program with an associate's degree•, •or•a •bachelor's degree•in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders + Successful completion of •at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience•as required by state and/or contract + •Current Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certification or licensure•in the state of practice + Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice + •One (1) year of prior SLPA experience•preferred + TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray if applicable) + Current health certificate (per contract or state regulations) + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements + Must be •at least 18 years of age•Why This Role?
