Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to a supportive districtwide setting near Penn Valley, CA. This contract, onsite opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference with a manageable caseload and consistent weekly schedule. You'll collaborate with educators and families to support student communication needs throughout the district. What we're looking for: Current Speech-Language Pathologist license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Previous experience in a school-based setting highly preferred Solid understanding of IEP processes and special education documentation Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to manage a caseload of 35-40 students across multiple sites Open to handling a variety of speech and language needs, from assessments to delivering therapy Responsibilities include: Delivering direct speech and language therapy services onsite to K-12 students Conducting assessments, interpreting results, and recommending interventions Participating in IEP meetings, providing input for goals and accommodations Working with a multidisciplinary team to implement student support plans Keeping accurate, timely records and progress notes in accordance with district and legal requirements Engaging with parents, teachers, and staff to maximize student outcomes Traveling between school sites throughout the district during the school day This contract position requires a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with work hours from 8:30AM to 4:00PM and a half-hour unpaid lunch. The district is seeking a dedicated SLP-CCC—please note this opportunity is not open to SLPAs.
