This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in speech therapy, pediatrics, and patient care to make a meaningful difference in individuals' lives. You will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and related disorders, fostering growth and confidence in your patients from early intervention through ongoing therapy. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, including early intervention strategies for pediatric populations. Deliver engaging therapy sessions focused on improving communication skills and physiological functions related to speech and swallowing. Utilize your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to inform accurate diagnoses and effective interventions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as physicians, educators, and caregivers to ensure holistic patient care. Document progress meticulously through detailed reports and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare standards. Educate patients and their families on techniques and exercises to support ongoing improvement outside of therapy sessions. Experience Prior school experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in pediatrics with a focus on early intervention programs is advantageous. Strong background in speech therapy techniques across diverse populations with varied communication needs. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology is essential. Proven ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop effective treatment strategies.
