Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a speech-language pathologist during the Extended School Year (ESY) session this summer. This role takes place from June 16 through July 10, operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact for children in a vibrant educational setting near Salinas, CA. Ideal candidates have experience or training in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology, and are comfortable working with diverse caseloads. Whether you hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or are looking for a valuable Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) placement, your expertise and compassion are valued.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program California SLP licensure or eligibility ASHA Certification (CCC) strongly preferred, CFY candidates welcome Experience working in pediatric, school, or healthcare SLP settings Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities Commitment to evidence-based interventions and inclusive practices
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy services to students per Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Screen, assess, and evaluate communication skills to develop effective treatment goals Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student participation and progress Maintain accurate and timely records and reports Provide support and resources to families regarding student communication needs You will enjoy the satisfaction of making a difference during a focused, summer session with a consistent daytime schedule—leaving your afternoons free.
