Full-Time, School-Year Position Position Summary Amergis is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized services within a partnering school district in San Bernardino, California. The SLP will deliver comprehensive assessment, intervention, and consultative support to students with speech, language, and communication needs. This role requires strong clinical expertise, adherence to educational standards, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in accordance with state and district guidelines Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals based on student needs and evidence-based practices Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and parent conferences Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including assessment reports, progress notes, and service logs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote student success Provide recommendations for classroom strategies, accommodations, and assistive communication supports Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations, including IDEA and ASHA standards Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Current California Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows may be considered Knowledge of school-based service delivery models and IEP processes Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a K-12 school setting Familiarity with electronic IEP systems Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate starting at $70+ , with higher rates available based on experience Full benefits package available through Amergis Professional development and continuing education support Stable school-year schedule with opportunities for contract renewal About the San Bernardino City School Community SBCUSD is a large well-established district offering a supportive educational environment, collaborative staff culture, and strong community engagement.
