Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Shape your impact as a Speech and Language Pathologist supporting developing learners in a dynamic educational setting close to San Juan Bautista, CA. This contract opportunity has two openings—one role requires travel between rural schools working with students from transitional kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade; the other is based at a single site, providing therapy for preschool children ages 3 to 5. Engage with diverse caseloads and play a vital role in student growth and communication success.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid CA Speech-Language Pathology license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Experience supporting school-aged children, particularly TK-8 or preschool-aged, is highly desirable Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Comfortable traveling to different school sites in rural settings (for the rural SLP opening) Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct evaluation and therapy services to students within assigned caseloads (35-45 students) Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students' communication needs Offer training and resources to educators and families for carryover of strategies Maintain timely and accurate records in accordance with district and state guidelines For the rural SLP opening, travel between school sites as needed For the preschool SLP, deliver services at a dedicated campus to children ages 3-5 This is a unique chance to make a difference in the lives of children in both rural and preschool settings, with a supportive team environment and meaningful professional experiences.
