Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity making a meaningful impact in elementary education as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist for the full school year. This contract position offers the chance to work directly with mild to moderate students across two elementary campuses near San Luis Obispo, CA. Enjoy a varied week with three days at one location and two at the other, supporting a current caseload of 55 students through engaging, evidence-based practices. Your expertise will enhance students' communication abilities, social skills, and academic potential. New graduates (CF) are encouraged to apply and will be provided with clinical supervision throughout the contract for a supportive, collaborative experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program California state licensure or eligibility Recent experience or strong interest working with elementary school populations Ability to support mild to moderate student needs with creative, personalized therapy approaches Exceptional organizational and time-management skills for caseload management Commitment to full-time, onsite availability throughout the academic year Strong written and verbal communication for IEP meetings and team interactions
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services in school settings Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment goals, and monitor student progress Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate with educators and families Maintain timely documentation and compliance records Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that encourages student growth This position offers the chance to immerse yourself in vibrant school communities and make lasting connections.
