Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students across transitional kindergarten through 8th grade within a dynamic school district near Santa Clara, CA. This full-time, contract-based position offers the chance to make a real impact alongside a collaborative team, including an onsite Occupational Therapist. You'll manage a manageable caseload of around 55 students across 2-3 school sites—delivering vital speech-language services to help diverse learners thrive.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid California licensure/certification for SLP (CCC, CFY, or School), or SLPA (school or healthcare focus) Experience or strong interest in delivering speech-language therapy in school settings Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is a plus Coursework and practicum focused on TK-8th grade populations Outstanding organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Willingness to travel between multiple school locations as needed Ability to provide 2 letters of recommendation and one sample evaluation report (with student names removed) upon application
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide direct speech-language therapy services to a caseload of about 55 students with diverse communication needs Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with special education staff and families Conduct group and individual therapy sessions across 2-3 schools Document student progress, maintain detailed records, and contribute to multidisciplinary student support teams Consult and collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other related service providers Utilize evidence-based practices, including teletherapy where appropriate
