Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) during a leave coverage from August 2026 through November or December 2026. This school-based role is based near Santa Clarita, CA, and offers a steady weekday schedule averaging 30 hours per week (Monday-Friday). You'll make a direct impact while benefiting from the collaboration of SLPAs already on campus. The caseload, averaging around 45 students, is supported by engaged colleagues in a well-resourced setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA Valid California SLP license (or ability to obtain prior to start) School-based experience preferred, with a strong understanding of IEP processes and collaboration Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess and treat students with various speech, language, and communication needs as outlined in their IEPs Develop and implement targeted therapy plans, adapting as required to student progress Collaborate effectively with on-site SLPAs, teachers, and special education staff Document services, maintain compliance with all legal and ethical standards Engage with families and caregivers to support carryover of strategies and student success This contract position offers competitive pay and a rewarding chance to positively influence the academic journey and communication skills of students.
