Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school setting this August as an onsite Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract role supporting TK-8th grade students. With a 186-day schedule and 37.5-40 hours per week, you'll work closely with a diverse caseload of 55 students across 2-3 school sites, making a lasting impact on their educational journeys.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current California Occupational Therapy license required Previous experience in a school environment, working with TK-8th grade students Proficient in assessing and supporting fine motor and gross motor skills Experience collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with preparing IEP documentation and tailoring interventions to individual student needs Comfortable working as part of a team including COTAs and other support staff Two strong letters of recommendation and a de-identified, recent sample report must be submitted with your application
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to students with a range of learning and physical needs Implement evidence-based interventions targeting fine motor and gross motor skill development Assess student abilities, create intervention goals, and monitor progress throughout the year Collaborate with teachers, school specialists, families, and other therapists to ensure comprehensive support for all students Travel between 2-3 schools within the district as needed to serve your caseload Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress and recommended strategies
