Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students' communication needs within a diverse and dynamic school environment near Tehachapi, CA. This contract position centers on delivering speech therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 students, ranging from Transitional Kindergarten through 5th Grade. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to foster student success and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required At least one year of experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred Comfortable managing a caseload with students varying from General Education to Moderate/Severe needs Proficient in completing direct therapy, IEP development, and conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations California CTC credential preferred, but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and provide engaging and appropriate speech-language therapy for students across TK-5th grade Manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, adjusting services to individual needs and IEPS Administer and interpret assessments; participate actively in eligibility determination and reevaluation processes Collaborate in the development and implementation of IEPs, working with a multidisciplinary team Offer consultative support to teachers and families regarding students' speech and language challenges Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school requirements Experience a rewarding opportunity to support a range of student needs and make a difference in students' daily lives.
