Speech Pathologist - Physical Therapy (Per Diem, Day Shift)

Job Description Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley has been providing high-quality healthcare services since 1934. We are comprised of a 25-bed hospital, wide range of outpatient services, emergency department, rural health clinics and medical offices. Job Summary:

Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS

) certification: Required American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC):

Preferred Essential Functions:

Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment. Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments. Assists in data collection of patient outcomes. Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts. Supervises assistants and support staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
