Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to an exciting contract opportunity in Southern California! This full-time, on-site role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic school environment. Work throughout the LA area with a range of students and collaborate closely with dedicated education professionals. This position is open to both Clinical Fellows (CFs) and clinicians holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). You'll join a supportive community where professional growth is encouraged, including regular bi-weekly training cohorts and mentorship for CFs.
Key qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active California SLP License and SLP Teaching Credential CCC-SLP or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF); supervision available Experience with school-aged children preferred Strong communication, organization, and adaptability for varied itinerant assignments Role responsibilities: Manage a caseload of approximately 50-60 students across one or multiple schools Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students (K-12) Develop and implement IEPs tailored to diverse student needs Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student success Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district and state requirements Participate in ongoing professional development and district training sessions Purchase necessary assessment materials (reimbursement provided) As you embark on this opportunity, you'll gain valuable school-based experience, enjoy consistent work hours (40 hours per week), and benefit from a collaborative environment invested in your professional development.
