JOB SUMMARY
: Assess and provide intervention to ensure student success and promote an exemplary educational program which fosters achievement for all students. Develops and promotes good relations among community and school clientele. Direct speech language services provided within inclusive settings for students with Part B under IDEA, with consultation to regular and/or special education staff, and to parents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. Plan and develop intervention programs and/or services to students. Provide intervention strategies to support the teaching process and to assist speech and language learning. Works effectively with others to integrate speech-language goals within the curriculum. Provides culturally responsive interventions that complement the students cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Monitors student progress and adjust instruction as appropriate. Evaluates program effectiveness/success. Delivers services consistent with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and Colorado Department of Education (CDE) ethical principles and professional standards of practice. Ability to work with children with oral motor, feeding and eating issues. Assist in the development and implementation of schedules and work systems. Support preschool classroom, including ability to manage classroom. environment and modify/adapt classroom activities to ensure successful communication for identified students. Encourage pragmatic language development and peer interactions. Daily 40% 2. Develop comprehensive IEP's, progress monitor, including ESY eligibility. Daily 5% 3. Assists in early identification of student's speech-language impairments. Conducts valid speech-language assessments according to professional standards. Conducts nonbiased culturally responsive assessments. Daily 5% 4. Provides current information and programs to decrease the occurrence of speech and language problems. Daily 5% 5. Works effectively with parents to assist with generalization of skills across settings. Develops positive rapport and ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, outside agencies, and parent community. Daily 5% 6. Communicates with parents regarding child's needs, progress, programming, and strategies. Daily 5% 7. Schedules student services to maximize the use of time and resources and manages caseload. Daily 5% 8. Maintains progress records on each student and completes paperwork in a timely manner according to legal requirements and district expectations. Daily 5% 9. Demonstrates ability to work within a trans-disciplinary environment. Daily 5% 10. Supports management of the classroom(s) environment. Daily 5% 11. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired. Criminal background check and fingerprinting required Master's degree Student teaching/practicum/internship experience that meets or exceeds Colorado's requirements Holds a valid Colorado School Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement/License.

: Formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other qualifications relevant to the position that are strongly preferred but not mandatory for a candidate to be considered. Experience working in the public sector, specifically public education Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement
