SLP in Thornton, CO ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Thornton, CO Job Details Full-time $49.73 - $62.73 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Master's degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting young learners in an intensive preschool classroom setting. This full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week) is located on-site in Thornton, CO, and focuses on providing speech-language services and impactful interventions for early learners. You'll work directly with a single school assignment—Riverdale Elementary—offering you the ability to form strong relationships with students and staff while guiding preschool students toward essential communication and developmental milestones.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Speech Language Pathologist licensure and a valid Colorado Department of Education Certificate required Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but well-qualified Clinical Fellow (CF) candidates will be considered Background in school-based speech therapy, particularly with preschool-aged children, is highly desirable Familiarity with the IEP process, including assessments, service delivery, and documentation requirements Experience or training in working with English Language Learners (ELL) and/or a Linguistically Diverse Education (LDE) endorsement is strongly preferred Ability to oversee, mentor, or assist in the supervision of SLPAs as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy and assessment services for an intensive preschool classroom Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), including setting and measuring student goals Monitor student progress and maintain thorough records of interventions and outcomes Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to support optimal student growth Provide guidance or supervision to SLPAs if applicable Step into a dynamic, school-centered environment where your expertise can make a lasting impact during the 2025-2026 school year.
