Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an impactful opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting near Canterbury, CT. This contract position covers the 2026-2027 school year and is available for both full-time and part-time candidates. In this role, you'll work in person during regular school hours, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, and provide essential speech and language services to Pre K-2 students. Qualifications & Experience:
Active SLP-CCC or eligible Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY in progress) Prior experience in school-based speech therapy or strong pediatric clinical background Familiarity with IEP development, PPT (Planning and Placement Team) meetings, and educational documentation Ability to work independently and collaboratively with school staff and families Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in Pre K-2 Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for communication disorders within a school context Participate actively in PPTs, ensuring effective collaboration with educators and specialists Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of students' IEPs Maintain thorough, accurate records of evaluations and progress Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding student achievement and strategies for support This position is based on campus just a short drive from Norwich, making it accessible for local commuters. School hours offer a consistent weekday schedule with opportunities for either full or part-time placement.
