Job Description

Beacon Services of Connecticut provides home-based pediatric services for infants, toddlers, and children from birth to three years of age. Our interdisciplinary teams work together to support families throughout the state of Connecticut using high quality therapy services based upon evidenced-based practices. Our SLPs deliver intervention to families where they live by supporting the evaluation of young children's current abilities using developmental and speech assessments. Clinicians interpret evaluation results, work as part of a team to develop individualized plans and use evidence-based intervention to facilitate childrens participation within the home and community. Clinicians also support the transition from community to school services. Qualifications Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology/Communication Disorders Some experience in pediatric intervention preferred Current or provisional licensure by relevant state board or agency Other Desirable Skills and Characteristics Strong communication skills to confidently explain information and converse with families Strong organizational skills to support case management duties A teamwork mindset to collaborate with other clinicians A willingness to learn and grow Things to Know Beacon places high value on providing excellent training and support to new and existing clinicians We believe in fair compensation and incentives for exceptional work We provide a degree of flexibility in scheduling so clinicians can balance the demands of work and home Working Conditions Services are delivered in family homes and community settings. This position will require some travel between locations, within a limited region.
