Pediatric School Speech Therapist

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a maternity leave from April 15 to June 11 in East Hartford, CT. This contract role supports students in grades 4 through 8 at intermediate and middle school levels, providing essential speech and language services in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to students in 4th to 8th grades. Conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and monitor student progress. Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support student communication needs. Maintain accurate documentation of services rendered in compliance with school policies. Participate in meetings and communicate effectively with families regarding student progress.

Qualifications:

Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is required. Experience working as an SLP in schools, with a preference for candidates familiar with intermediate and middle school age groups. Ability to provide services via teletherapy is a plus but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a school team. Eligibility to work full-time for the specified contract period. Candidates with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience or pediatric healthcare SLP backgrounds will be considered, depending on years of school-based experience.
