Job Description
The Essential Functions of this position are: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Identify, evaluate and provide speech intervention for impacted students. Develop goals, objectives and treatment plans that suit individual student needs within a diverse population. Keep detailed records relating to students' assessments, IEPs and progress. Ensure the highest standards of student care by collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the program's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Report progress and interpret assessment results to stakeholders, including but not limited to, school districts, SPED/BCBAs and family members. Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team environment, including but not limited to SPED teacher/BCBAs, Behavior Specialists to develop and implement comprehensive IEPs across school locations. Maintain compliance with regulations, accreditation standards, and ethical guidelines. Stay abreast of current research and best practices in the SLP field and participate in ongoing professional development. Fulfill hours as assigned by IEPs. Other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications and requirements:
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. A valid CT state certification for SLP (endorsement #061) required.ASHA CCC-SLP
required. Experience in assessment and intervention for a variety of speech and language disorders. Experience with AAC assessment and AAC implementation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
