Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based role supporting students' communication and language needs as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP, CCC) on a contract basis. In this engaging position, you'll collaborate with an energetic educational team near New London, CT, and help transform students' academic and social experiences through your clinical expertise.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required Active state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain) Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to determine communication and swallowing disorders Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed Participate in IEP meetings, RTI teams, and ongoing professional development Provide training to staff and families to promote language-rich environments Joining this assignment, you'll enjoy the variety and excitement of school-based practice, while having the chance to make a lasting impact in children's lives.
