Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact this summer as an SLP or SLPA, supporting students ages 6-22 in a dynamic school environment located near Norwalk, CT. This engaging contract opportunity is designed for the ESY month of July, with the chance to make a difference in the lives of learners while enjoying a flexible schedule of 22.5 hours per week—all at one welcoming school site. In this supportive role, you'll collaborate with dedicated educational professionals and benefit from provided supervision for SLPA candidates. You'll have the chance to work one-on-one or in small groups, designing and implementing therapy plans that address each student's individual strengths and communication needs. This position is open due to summer coverage needs, offering a unique opportunity to enrich the student experience during the extended school year.
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure or certificate in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP or SLPA) Experience in school-based settings preferred Credentialed as SLP-CCC or SLPA as applicable Strong communication and collaboration skills Motivated by helping students succeed academically and personally
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative speech therapy services for students ages 6-22 Develop and implement individualized education plans Monitor and record progress, collaborating closely with staff and families Maintain accurate documentation as required by school guidelines Participate in meetings and contribute to student support teams
