Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step confidently into a rewarding role making a difference in the lives of K-6 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position offers a part-time schedule for the 2026-2027 school year, providing impactful services to a vibrant school community near Millsboro, DE. As a valued SLP, you'll dedicate two full days each week to delivering direct therapeutic services to students, with an additional half-day reserved for essential meetings and evaluations. This balanced structure allows you to focus on both individualized student care and collaborative team involvement.
Qualifications and Desired Background:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Delaware SLP licensure, or eligibility to obtain it Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Prior experience with K-6 populations in a school setting strongly preferred Exceptional communication and collaboration skills Comfort with IEP process and integrating into multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy for K-6 students, targeting a variety of communication needs Conduct assessments and participate in eligibility determinations, saving dedicated time for compliance and evaluation duties Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and families Consult regularly with staff and attendance at meetings, integrating best practices and effective strategies Maintain clear, accurate records in alignment with school and state standards Imagine helping young learners find their voices, with a schedule that allows for meaningful engagement and work-life balance.
