• Speech Therapist Pool Responsibilities:

• + Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing function in medically complex patients.

+ Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and/or swallowing disorders. + Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational/physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare providers. + Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. + Provide patient and family education related to communication strategies, feeding precautions, and recovery expectations. + Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning. + Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and/or Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), if credentialed. + Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA policies. + Stay current with clinical best practices and continuing education relevant to acute care SLP. + Responsible for providing the appropriate level of clinical direction for therapists completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), Speech Language Pathology students and volunteers.

• Requirements:

• + CCC-SLP (Speech Language Pathology) + BLS (Basic Life Support) + Speech Therapy License + Required Master's Speech Therapy + Preferred Doctorate Speech Therapy + 1 year Clinical Related is preferred
