Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) specializing in school-based services. The position is located in Defuniak Springs, FL, providing support within an educational setting. This role is designed for professionals holding credentials such as SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or SLPA certification, with experience working with school-age children.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting speech and language assessments for students across various grade levels Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on student needs Collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals Documenting progress and maintaining clear, timely records of interventions and outcomes Participating in team meetings and contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and reviews
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid SLP or SLPA certification/license as per state requirements Experience working within a school environment is highly preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs Familiarity with relevant educational and clinical documentation standards
