Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine speech, language, motor, or developmental needs, utilizing your knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with each patient's goals and needs, emphasizing early intervention techniques. Provide engaging speech therapy, physical therapy, or occupational therapy sessions tailored to pediatric populations with diverse conditions. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care strategies and progress tracking. Educate patients and their families on exercises, adaptive techniques, or communication strategies to promote ongoing development outside of therapy sessions. Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and assessments in compliance with medical terminology standards and healthcare regulations. Stay current with advancements in medical terminology, and therapy techniques to continually enhance patient care quality. Skills Proven experience working with the geriatric population. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques or physical/occupational therapy practices specific to elderly. Excellent patient care skills combined with a compassionate approach that fosters trust and motivation. Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to adult therapy. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and adapt treatment plans accordingly. Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating families.
