Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students' communication needs with this rewarding contract opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist near Deltona, FL. This school-based position offers the chance to work with a diverse student population, providing both direct therapy and collaborative services as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Hold a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued Familiarity with IEP processes and case management responsibilities Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments for students referred by educators or families Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting each student's unique needs Deliver direct and consultative services within classroom and pull-out settings Collaborate actively with educational staff and parents to support students' academic and social success Document progress, update goals, and participate in IEP meetings Provide guidance and support to staff regarding communication disorders and interventions This contract opportunity provides the flexibility and professional experience valued by travel therapists.
