The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in patients of all ages. This role involves working closely with individuals to enhance their communication skills and improve their quality of life through tailored therapy plans. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Implement therapy sessions that utilize evidence-based practices to improve communication skills. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and families to support patient care. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide education and resources to patients and families regarding speech therapy techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress reports. Skills Proficient in speech therapy techniques and methodologies. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and language. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and support. Experience working with pediatric populations is required. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech therapy practices. Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments for effective diagnosis. Knowledge of early intervention strategies for children with communication delays. Experience in school settings and special needs is a plus.
