Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Therapist to join our dynamic team at Emerald Nursing. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life by developing personalized therapy plans and delivering engaging interventions. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing challenges using established clinical techniques. Develop tailored therapy plans that align with each patient's unique needs, goals, and developmental stages. Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions across diverse settings, including schools, clinics, or early intervention programs. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care strategies. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to maximize outcomes. Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards. Educate patients and their support networks on exercises and strategies to reinforce communication skills outside of therapy sessions. Skills Proven experience working with pediatric populations in school or early intervention settings. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques specific to pediatrics and early development stages. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments using appropriate tools and medical terminology. Deep understanding of physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to children's needs. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and interdisciplinary collaboration.
