Empower (School‑Based Staffing Division) Job Summary Empower is seeking a dedicated Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a school in the Mayo, FL region. This position offers flexible scheduling—full‑time or part‑time—and includes opportunities for immediate coverage, Summer School, and the full 2026-2027 academic year. You will provide assessment, intervention, and collaborative support to students across grade levels, helping them build communication skills essential for academic and social success. This is an on‑site, school‑based role within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments using standardized tools and clinical observations Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with student strengths, needs, and IEP goals Provide evidence‑based therapy targeting articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and related areas Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support consistent progress Monitor and document student performance, adjusting treatment plans as needed Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and compliance documentation per district and state standards Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Skills & Qualifications Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology Active Florida SLP license
ASHA CCC
‑SLP preferred; CFs may be considered Experience with pediatric or school‑based populations preferred Strong understanding of developmental milestones and communication disorders Ability to administer standardized assessments and interpret results Effective communication and collaboration skills with educators and families Compensation & Structure $45
