Job Description

Job Summary The Speech Therapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, and communication disorders. The therapist works with children and/or adults to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving communication abilities and enhancing quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders through standardized tests and evaluations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide therapy to improve articulation, language comprehension, voice production, and fluency. Work with patients who have swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) to improve feeding and swallowing safety. Collaborate with teachers, physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, and family members to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, therapy sessions, and treatment outcomes. Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and exercises to practice at home. Use assistive and augmentative communication (AAC) devices when appropriate. Stay current with evidence-based practices and advancements in speech-language pathology. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, workshops, and continuing education programs. Basic qualifications Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech therapy. Familiarity with anatomy and physiology relevant to speech production. Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations.
Education:
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Licensure/Certification:
State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP); Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (or equivalent national board) preferred. Valid Driver's license Reliable transformation Preferred qualifications Proven experience in early intervention strategies for children with speech delays. Ability to assess patient needs effectively and develop appropriate therapeutic interventions. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
