Our new 204-bed replacement hospital that opened in the Spring of 2024 offers many more services than a standard community hospital, as we're part of the BayCare family of health care facilities

• Speech Therapist Responsibilities:

• + Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.

+ Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals. + Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care. + Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and strategies for continued recovery. + Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards. + Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to discharge planning. + Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to students and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates as needed.

• Qualifications:

• Required:

• + Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology + Florida State License in Speech-Language Pathology + Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Preferred:

• + 1+ year of clinical experience in inpatient/acute and outpatient setting + Experience with modified barium swallow studies and dysphagia management
