Job Description
We are seeking a
PER DIEM SPEECH THERAPIST
to join our team who is a dynamic clinician and team player. Our facility offers a supportive family environment with a compassionate rehab team which is led by an experienced Director of Rehabilitation. The rehab department utilizes Net Health-Therapy and Point Click Care for billing and documentation to assist therapists with daily efficiency where quality care remains the primary focus of each therapist. The facility has a 6-day a week, in-house comprehensive rehabilitation program where the Speech Therapist is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. SPEECH THERAPIST JOB SUMMARY
- Conducts screenings of residents as scheduled to determine the need for evaluation and/or intervention
- Evaluate residents per physician orders to obtain comprehensive data to be utilized in developing the plan of care for swallowing, communication and/or cognition
- Provide Speech Therapy treatment to residents when indicated per the plan of care
- Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehab department, IDT and facility success
SPEECH THERAPIST JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of Masters in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- A current Florida Speech Therapy Pathology License
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be computer/tech savvy
