Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contracted Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Sanford, FL, serving PreK through 5th-grade students. This role offers a unique chance to support a diverse student caseload, including general education speech/language impairment, intensive support spectrum needs, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, and communication device users. The position is part-time, requiring 2-3 days per week (15-20 hours), running from late February through May.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with an existing SLP to manage a shared caseload of approximately 60-65 students. Provide speech and language evaluations and interventions across a broad range of disabilities. Work within a supportive environment, sharing a well-equipped workspace alongside the current SLP. Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' specific communication needs. Maintain compliance with all state licensure requirements and documentation standards.Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Florida Department of Health license for Speech Language Pathology. Professional licensure as an SLP is mandatory. Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates, with support provided throughout the contract. Experience with both monolingual and bilingual student populations is valued. Prior work in school settings preferred; candidates with 0-10+ years of school experience are encouraged to apply.Location:
