Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic Florida school district. Multiple Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) positions are available for the 2026-2027 academic year. These roles are located at various elementary, middle, and high schools, offering a variety of experiences within the district. Immediate needs include maternity leave coverage and flexible schedules ranging from part-time (2-3 days per week) to full-time (5 days per week). Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome—supervision is provided to help you grow and succeed. Preferred backgrounds for these roles involve recent, hands-on experience working with school-aged children, particularly those in severe to profound programs and those requiring Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) supports.
Qualifications:
Valid Florida SLP License required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) Previous school-based SLP experience preferred Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Proven ability to work with severe-profound populations and utilize AAC Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Must be available for on-site service (no virtual placements or SLPAs accepted)
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide direct speech/language therapy to students Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to support student progress Maintain detailed records and progress notes in compliance with district and state guidelines Attend relevant meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions These contract positions offer diverse school settings and the satisfaction of making a lasting difference for students.
