13-Week Contract Assignment Shift Details Day Shift•5x8
Hour Shifts Hours:
8:00 AM•4:30 PM Schedule may vary based on department needs Minimum 2 weekends required every 4 weeks Preferred availability for 4 weekends every 4 weeks Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Speech Therapist (SLP) to join a fast-paced Acute Care hospital setting in Canton, Georgia. The therapist will work with a diverse patient population across multiple units including ICU, neurological/stroke, respiratory, dysphagia, and cognitive care. This role is ideal for clinicians with strong acute care experience who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient-centered therapy services within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech therapy services in an acute care setting Assess swallowing, speech, language, cognitive, and communication disorders Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs Provide therapy interventions for ICU, stroke/neuro, dysphagia, respiratory, and cognitive-related conditions Document patient progress and therapy interventions accurately within EMR systems Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals and discharge planning Maintain compliance with facility and clinical documentation standards Requirements Minimum 15-18 months of recent Speech Therapy experience within specialty required Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License required CCC-SLP Certification required BLS Certification required Prior Acute Care experience strongly preferred
