190 Days plus $3,000 supplementEssential Duties:
Implement procedures, policies, and regulations approved by the federal, state, and district for identifying students with Speech and Language Impairments. Conduct assessments, analyze data, and write reports in a timely manner to determine strengths and concerns in areas of articulation, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills. Ensures evaluations, IEPs, and provided services are aligned with federal, state, and district guidelines. Provide best practices and evidence-based Speech-Language services to students according to students' IEPs and appropriately schedule students and provide services at scheduled times. Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure that students' skills are generalized across settings. Research and disseminate information on best practices in the field of Speech Language Pathology as needed. Communicate with all stakeholders in a timely and appropriate manner. Work with building level staff to maintain and/or coordinate support as related to students with Speech Language Impairments. Participate with school administrators/coordinators for effective planning, coordination, and implementation of speech-language program into total educational system. Prepare and submit reports as required by the school district including Medicaid documentation. Participate in professional learning opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in Speech and Language Pathology. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of an S-5 (Master's level) Georgia Educator Service Certificate in Speech Language Pathology. Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community. Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation. Must abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators. Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work. Ability to be present at the physical worksite. Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting. Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations. Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.Similar remote jobs
