Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position serving students in a vibrant school environment, located in the Rockford and greater Belvidere area. Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (either CCC or CFY) and work 37.5 hours per week for the 2026-2027 school year. Orientation begins August 3, with your first day with students on August 11, and the term concludes May 28, 2027. Your placement will be thoughtfully matched to your unique skills and interests, ensuring you're in a setting where you can thrive. You'll benefit from immediate access to a seasoned supervisor in your discipline, ready to guide you through challenges and celebrate your growth. If you're new to the organization, a dedicated "Buddy Program" will provide an extra layer of support during your thorough orientation.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; eligibility for CCC or CFY Current Illinois SLP license, or ability to obtain by assignment start Strong knowledge of school-based speech and language services Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered services
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy to students grades PreK-12, as aligned with your interests and skills Conduct evaluations using provided equipment and testing materials Document progress, develop IEP goals, and communicate with families and staff Engage in ongoing professional development and roundtable discussions Participate in monthly team meetings, performance reviews, and process improvement initiatives Stay connected with colleagues through a dynamic, interactive intranet platform Enjoy the opportunity for structured support with regular 1:1 check-ins, access to comprehensive training, and collaboration with dedicated peers.
