Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding Speech-Language Pathologist contract opportunity supporting a dedicated self-contained Special Education program. You'll make a meaningful difference for students ages 3 to 22, providing critical speech and language services that foster communication, academic progress, and personal growth. This full-time role is ideal for skilled SLPs passionate about working with a diverse range of learners, including those with significant needs. With a manageable caseload of 18 students, you'll be empowered to offer personalized, high-impact care. This position welcomes candidates with experience in schools, healthcare, pediatrics, teletherapy, and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) programs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
- Current state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Prior experience in educational environments—schools, pediatrics, or SPED settings—strongly preferred
- Knowledge of teletherapy platforms and virtual service delivery is a plus
- Comfortable supporting students with a wide range of ages and abilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with special educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to complete case notes and documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy as outlined in student IEPs
- Develop and implement therapy plans for students in a self-contained special education program
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress toward communication goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating on appropriate services and accommodations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
- Adapt therapy methods for onsite or teletherapy as needed Experience the fulfillment of supporting a close-knit community of students while enjoying the flexibility and variety that contract work provides.
