Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a contract opportunity that allows you to make a tangible difference in the lives of students by providing crucial speech-language services within a supportive school setting near Crystal Lake, IL. In this dynamic role, your expertise in speech-language pathology will help foster communication, confidence, and educational success among children and adolescents. Ideal candidates will bring a blend of clinical skill, compassion, and a desire to collaborate closely with educators, families, and fellow professionals. Whether you are an experienced SLP-CCC, new to the field with your CFY, or have a strong background in pediatric and school-based speech services, your contributions will be highly valued.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state SLP license (or eligibility) Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) in progress or completed Previous experience in school, pediatric, or healthcare settings preferred Skilled in assessment, intervention, and documentation for a school-aged population Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to students with a variety of communication challenges Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with special education teams Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines Serve as a valuable resource for educators and families regarding communication development
