Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role as an onsite Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year, serving a vibrant K-12 student community near East Saint Louis, IL. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Active SLP license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) welcome to apply Previous experience in school-based settings is an advantage Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to K-12 students, adjusting approaches to diverse learning needs Complete comprehensive assessments, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and monitor progress Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation in compliance with district and state requirements Consult regularly with teachers and parents to support students' communication goals Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and ongoing collaboration with staff Enjoy a manageable caseload that allows you to focus on quality interventions and build meaningful connections with your students.
