Job Description

Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to an elementary resource setting and support K-5 students in achieving their communication and academic goals. This rewarding contract opportunity is located near Gurnee, IL, and offers the chance to make a lasting impact within a single school community. You'll work with a manageable caseload of 25-30 students, focusing on individualized speech and language interventions that foster empowerment, engagement, and growth. Collaborate with dedicated educators and families, and help propel students toward success as you sharpen your professional skills.
Ideal candidates will have:
Eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist (either CCC or CFY status) Previous school-based experience preferred, internship/clinical experience considered for CFY applicants Passion for working with elementary-aged children and diverse learners Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based services Key responsibilities include: Delivering direct and consultative speech-language interventions to K-5 students Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing student-specific goals Collaborating on IEP teams and effectively documenting student progress Engaging with families and staff to foster a supportive learning environment Participating in scheduled professional development and potential new staff training Your schedule will follow school hours (8:25am to 4:00pm), totaling 35.5 hours weekly, during the 2026-2027 academic year (August 17, 2026 through May 28, 2027).
