Job Description

Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to support K-5th grade students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or CFY) within a single school setting near Lake Zurich, IL. This contract role allows you to make a significant impact, working alongside resource teams to help young learners thrive. With a manageable caseload of 25-30 students, you can focus on delivering individualized therapy and fostering strong relationships with your students. The work schedule is 35.5 hours per week, from 8:25am to 4:00pm, offering a consistent routine throughout the school year. Your assignment runs from 8/17/2026 through 5/28/2027, with details on new staff training to be announced.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Illinois SLP license, or eligibility for CFY status ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome Experience working with K-5 students in a school setting preferred Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators and families Commitment to supporting diverse learners in achieving communication goals
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy to a caseload of 25-30 K-5th grade students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress Collaborate with resource staff and classroom teachers to support student success Conduct screenings, assessments, and document student progress Participate in IEP meetings and share insights with interdisciplinary teams Engage in new staff training as scheduled This contract is a fantastic chance to advance your skills and enrich the lives of students in a supportive educational environment.
