Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on an exciting contract opportunity making a difference in student lives as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time position is ideal for passionate professionals eager to support communication growth and educational achievement for children in an engaging academic environment. Candidates with an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and SLP experience in schools will fit seamlessly into this dynamic setting, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams for student success.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred Previous experience in a school setting highly valued Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload of students Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings to determine speech-language needs Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with educators and families Maintain accurate progress documentation in compliance with district and legal standards Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development initiatives Offer consultative support to teaching staff and parents regarding language and communication strategies
