  • Anderson Hospital is seeking a full-time pediatric speech language pathologist for our pediatric outpatient clinic.
The speech language pathologist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family needs within the parameters of the Illinois Speech Language Pathologist Practice Act in order to deliver excellent patient care. Anderson Pediatric Therapy Services offers a comprehensive pediatric speech therapy program that is designed to help children overcome speech and language difficulties. Our team of experienced speech-language pathologists works with children of all ages to assess their communication skills and develop a personalized treatment plan to address their individual needs. Our speech and language therapy sessions are fun and engaging, and we work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure that children receive the support they need to succeed. We provide the following communication development support: Oral-motor stimulation Developmental language therapy Swallowing therapy Treatment of phonological disorders Voice therapy Treatment of stuttering Articulation therapy Augmentative communication selection and training Treatment for central auditory processing disorders Accent modification services This position will also provide support for inpatient needs for the adult/geriatric population as needed, but core population is pediatrics (birth-18 years). The speech language pathologist will promote safe and effective care by coordinating care with the physician and any others involved in the patients care. The speech language pathologist will provide care throughout the continuum and rotate through the various therapy sites as needed.
Qualifications Education Requirements and Other Requirements:
Education Level :
Meets education and experience required for certification of clinical competence in Speech Pathology granted by the American Language and Hearing Association (CFY is acceptable).
Certification/Licensure:
Current license in the State of Illinois.
Other Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
